Introducing The Startup Parent Book Club
A book club for business owners, parents, and leaders of all genders.
Join us at book club this year!
I’d like to invite you to come talk about books with other smart, interesting, kind people. You’ll get a chance to connect with other parents, business owners, and thoughtful folks—and discuss one of the books from our selections for the year ahead.
We’ll read books across the spectrum of leadership. From inner wisdom to organizational growth, from business and leadership to parenting and self-development. Check out the books we’re looking at for 2023.

WINTER 2023 BOOK PICKS
Each year, when I develop the curriculum for our leadership incubator, I get to pick out twelve tantalizing books that range from business development to cultural commentary to parenting.
Because we believe that parenting itself is one of the ways you can hone your leadership style, we don’t separate “business” books from “parenting” books. Understanding what people live through, the profound effects of inequality on business, and the ways in which language matters—these are all essential business skills for the modern world. Here are the book picks for January, February, and March.
Inferior: How Science Got Women Wrong—and the New Research That's Rewriting the Story, by Angela Saini. January 2023 book pick.
Building A Second Brain: A Proven Method to Organize Your Digital Life and Unlock Your Creative Potential, by Tiago Forte. February 2023 book pick.
Call of the Wild: How We Heal Trauma, Awaken Our Own Power, and Use It for Good, by Kimberly Ann Johnson. March 2023 book pick.
